    Search must be improved

  2. One single website

Combine all Sitecore sites into one on www.sitecore.net. Faceted search and taxonomy allows content from kb to be leveraged on doc and downloads from dev to be featured across pages.
Focus on a single customer experience instead of content types :)

  3. Community Blog Feed

A tool that lists blog posts on Sitecore written by the commmunity. Maybe with some sort of tagging system to make it easier to find posts about a particular feature.

  4. Sitecore Indexing Service running on .NET Core similar to Sitecore Publishing Service

Sitecore team has worked a lot to improve the performance of Index Rebuild and currently it takes much less time as compared to previous versions. But still, when we talk of huge environments, with thousands and lakhs (Hundreds of Thousands, Thanks @JammyKam) of items, rebuilding indexes is a pain.
This is so for 2 reasons:
1.The amount of time it takes to rebuild – sometimes 30-40 minutes, or even more.
    2. The end user's screen is blocked and the user needs to sit for it to complete.
When there are multiple users working on the CM instance, it even hampers…

  5. Utilize Bootstrap to bring responsive and mobile first UI.

It would be great if all *.sitecore.net web sites finally started utilizing the most popular HTML, CSS, and JS framework for developing responsive, mobile first UI on the web, which is Bootstrap (http://getbootstrap.com/).

To be super cool, you could order a custom theme for Bootstrap v4 based on the latest Sitecore Context Marketing rebranding including logo, colors, fonts, color context elements etc.

  6. Search from product pages

When searching from a product page like https://doc.sitecore.net/products/email%20experience%20manager, I'd like to see the search results for this product only

  7. Comments on all pages

Allow all pages across kb/doc/dev/etc to have user generated comments.

  8. Rename SC_ANALYTICS_GLOBAL_COOKIE cookie

There should a way to configure Sitecore to use an alternate name for the Sitecore client cookie. And perhaps a way to completely disable the cookie (of course thereby rendering xDB useless).

  9. Subscription on changes to the knowledgebase for specific versions and products

There are 218 - currently - known issues, I know some of them but definitely not all.
If a new problem arises I want to get notified about it. How else can you keep track of such bugs/problems?

An example on why I find this necessary can be read here: https://community.sitecore.net/general/f/16/t/2570

There is an RSS feed available, but it does not contain information on which version of Sitecore the issue is about nor which product area. https://kb.sitecore.net/en/Articles_RSS_Feed.aspx

  10. More advanced search options

E.g. search in topic titles only, search in text only, search everywhere.

  13. Guides for Key Areas

For topics like Security, Scaling, Search and maybe some others, have an exportable PDF,

  14. Latest additions to the marketplace

I would like to see a list of the modules that are new to the marketplace so I don't have to browse all modules to see if there it's anything new.

  15. Notifications based on presence of keyword or tag in new community post

For example, would be way easier to monitor for questions on WeBlog and Active Commerce for me if I could get emailed when new ones pop up. I can do this today w/ a search RSS and rss2email running as a cron job, but that's a hacky workaround.

  17. Better moderation on the community.

Someone should be monitoring and moving posts to appropriate forums.

  18. Make offcial docs and vids that are really helpful

Create Videos and docs that help developers or authors in using Sitecore AND please for god's sake, test your own docs by giving them to a .net dev who is a Sitecore beginner. That is the best way to check if your docs are manking sense.

Or else whats the point in writing articles that are not helpful at all. What is that you wanted to say, (..that you are are well knowledged in Sitecore...huh !)

  19. Non-developers being able to report bugs/issues

Currently only certified developers are able to report bugs. We would like to see certified experience marketeers (basically other roles then just developers) being able to report issues/bugs with the Sitecore platform (for example in Engagement Plan functionality or in the Sitecore Rules)

  20. Package Installation - More Verbose 'Apply To All'

When installing packages in the desktop, you often get hit with a dialog prompting you to Merge, Overwrite, or Skip. There's an 'apply to all' button, but there's no indication of what items will be affected when selecting this.
